Swimming Pool, Pool Terrace & Sunbathing Area
Outside, you will enjoy our private swimming pool, terraces, garden and the option of al fresco dining using the built-in BBQ. In the evening you can either enjoy the magnificent view that paints with the nicest colours the clear blue Mediterranean sky or you can drive in a distance of approx 3-4 minutes to the nearest restaurants and taste the Cretan cuisine. It is the best choice for families with children, for an unforgettable holiday in Crete.
The swimming pool sits among a lawned garden with flowering shrubs and an unhindered mountain view, making it an excellent place to relax on one of the sunbeds whilst admiring those distant mountain views. A few steps up from the pool terrace, there is a built-in BBQ and a dining table.
Entrance
Villa Olvini has a big gate and off-road parking with a sloping driveway in front of the Villa to park your car hires. The main entrance for the first apartment is at the front with a few steps up to the front door, while the second is on the way to the swimming pool on the left of the property.
Living Space & Kitchen
Olvini Villa Chania covers 240 sq. m. split into two separate apartments. The first apartment is on the ground floor and includes a large open space with a living room, a dining area and kitchen. The patio doors and windows let the light flood the room and lead to a large balcony with a view to the pool and the White Mountains.
The second apartment is on the pool level and includes a large open space with a modernly designed living room and a kitchen. The big patio doors lead straight to the pool terrace.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The villa includes 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. On the first apartment, there are three bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a double bed and a family room with two twin beds. All bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom.
The second apartment has two bedrooms, both with a double bed. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, while there is also a family bathroom with a shower at this level.

The neighbourhood
The Villa is located in Galatas, Chania, Crete. That location has a greatly advantageous position as it is close to the city centre and the Venetian harbour as well, and also near to the area’s most popular sandy beaches.
If you're a beach lover, Agioi Apostoloi gulf, with its four beaches and plenty of beach bars, is a great choice just 5 minutes drive away.
The picturesque city of Chania has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in both the old town and harbour, which is less than 10 minutes' drive from the Villa
Local markets & Shopping
In Galatas there's a Super Market for those daily essentials, as well as several shops to choose from, which is a few minutes drive from the Villa.
Every Saturday, in the city of Chania, is an open-air local market where you can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as the local yoghurts and cheese. The old town has a mix of shops ranging from a bootmaker to boutique clothing.
Bars & Restaurants
You'll be spoilt for choice on where to eat, either you choose a waterfront restaurant or a traditional restaurant on the mainland. There's a wide choice of places to eat, drink and shop both on the seafront and in the nearby old village of Stalos and Agia Marina. In less than 10 minutes drive you will find plenty of restaurants and beach bars.
If you are a nightwalker, a 15-minute drive would lead you to either Platanias or Chania Old Port, where you can find a wide variety of night bars and clubs.
Beaches
The closest sandy beach (Kalamaki) is in a distance of 2 km from the villa. The beach of Kato Stalos is around a 10 minutes' drive from the Villa, with clear blue water and soft golden sand. There is also the Blue Flag beach of Agia Marina with plenty of sunbeds and parasols to hire and a selection of beach bars and tavernas, all about 1km away. For a day at the beach, Elafonisi and Faalasarna are ideal destinations! There are white sand and pink hues and turquoise waters that ripple in the breeze. Both beaches are a bit far away, but it definitely worths driving there!
Family fun
For some fun in the sun, especially when the coastline close to the Villa is wavy, Limnoupolis Waterpark offers a great adventure for the whole family! About 15 minutes drive from the Villa, Limnoupolis with its waterslides for the energetic and the lazy river for the more laid-back members of the group can provide with moments of joy all the members of your company.
Places of Interest
The city of Chania is not to be missed! The Venetian Harbour is fringed with restaurants, cafes and bars. This is a great place to rest after a day exploring the maze of alleys in the old town of Chania.
If you head east of Agia Marina you will find the Samaria Gorge that worths a visit. This is Europe's longest gorge, about 5 hours hiking - so be prepared to be wowed!
Less than 5 minutes drive from the Villa you can find a mini Golf - Restaurant.
